We all know that recycling is good for the environment, but re-use is even better. Even recycling consumes energy that
simply re-using avoids. Not only that, but re-using your unwanted electrical and furniture will also help people who cannot afford to purchase new items.
Donating to Dorset Reclaim will make a real difference, not only to the environment (minimizing your carbon footprint),
but also by helping local people who will put your items to good re-use.
We are now able to claim Gift Aid on the items you donate, if you are a UK tax payer. Please see our donations page for more details.
Dorset Reclaim is a registered charity project, based in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester,
re-using and recycling furniture, electrical and household goods.
The principle aim of the Project is to provide these items to those in need within the local communities throughout Dorset and East Hampshire.
We provide a free collection service, of good quality items, throughout Dorset. In the first ten years we have helped over 16,000 people, collecting from more than 40,000 homes, with in excess of 80,000 items being donated to date.
Dorset Reclaim is all about people, and the further aim of the project is to provide opportunities for members of the community to help in the day to day running of the organisation. We are dependant on a voluntary workforce, we have a variety of jobs on offer, and hours to suit most individuals.
